Standard Optic Ready System (ORS) | Factory Milled, Plates Included
The Glock 17 Gen 6 ships with a factory-milled Optic Ready System (ORS) slide and a full set of interface plates covering the most popular red dot footprints including the Trijicon RMR/SRO, Leupold DeltaPoint Pro, Aimpoint ACRO, and Holosun series. Unlike the Gen 5 MOS system which required a separate MOS model, the Gen 6 ORS is standard on all models and ships ready to mount a red dot sight out of the box without additional purchases.

Flat-Faced Trigger | More Consistent Pull and Cleaner Break
The Glock 17 Gen 6 introduces a factory flat-faced trigger shoe that provides a more consistent trigger pull feel and a cleaner, more predictable break compared to the curved trigger of previous generations. The flat face works together with the deeper undercut trigger guard to create better trigger reach and control, helping achieve more predictable shot placement during rapid fire. Trigger pull weight remains approximately 5.5 lbs.

RTF6 Grip Texture | The Most Aggressive Factory Glock Texture
The Gen 6 frame features Glock’s new RTF6 (Rough Texture Frame 6) surface that wraps around all key hand contact points for a secure, positive grip in wet, gloved, and high-stress shooting conditions. RTF6 combines elements from earlier RTF2 and RTF4 designs for better grip security, more aggressive than Gen 5 without reaching the abrasiveness of RTF2.

Integrated Palm Swell, Enlarged Beavertail, and Extended Thumb Rests
The Glock 17 Gen 6 frame incorporates an integrated palm swell that fills the hand naturally without backstrap changes, an enlarged beavertail protecting the web of the hand and promoting a higher grip, and extended bilateral thumb rests providing a natural index point for the support hand thumb during firing to improve grip consistency and recoil management.

Deeply Undercut Trigger Guard | Higher Grip, Better Recoil Control
The Gen 6’s aggressively undercut trigger guard allows the shooting hand to ride significantly higher on the frame, lowering the bore axis relative to the hand and reducing muzzle flip during rapid fire. Previously one of the most commonly requested aftermarket modifications on Glock pistols, the undercut trigger guard is now factory standard on every Gen 6.

Front Serrations and Flared Magwell | Standard on Every Gen 6
Front serrations provide positive purchase for press checks and manipulation techniques, while the flared magwell reduces the precision required for fast magazine changes under stress and in competition. Both features were previously only available on the FS MOS variants of the Gen 5.
